Goldenrod

Goldenrod, Solidago virgaurea

The leaves are edible when made into a tea. There are several medicinal applications for Goldenrod including the treatment of wounds and bleeding, urinary tract disorders, fungal problems, skin diseases, bladder and kidney stones, and much more. Goldenrod may be used to make a reportedly very effective mouthwash to treat thrush.

Mustard, orange, and brown dyes can also be extracted from the whole plant, and yellows can be obtained from the leaves and flowers.

Las hojas son comestibles cuanto se hace en te. Hay varias aplicaciones medicinales incluyendo el tratamiento para heridas y sangrado, trastornos en el tracto urinario, problemas con hongos, enfermedades en la piel, piedras en la vejiga o en el riñón, y mucho mas. Puede usarse para hacer enjuague bucal. Se puede extraer tintes de color mostaza, naranja o marrón de toda la planta y tinte de color amarillo de las hojas y flores.
